STRAIGHT AS AN ARROW!
These words came into my mind as I was pondering who Jayton is.
Don't misunderstand me...He isn't perfect (nobody is) but he is always wanting to correct himself and work toward exactness.
That’s How I’ll BeVerse:
Living in a world
That’s constantly changing All of the lines are blurred Between right and wrong In the middle of a storm
A battle is waging
But I already know
Which side I’m on
I will fight for my king cause he is fighting for meChorus:
I want to be-
Firm as the mountain Stretched to the sky Strong as a fortress Sure as the night
I want to be-Straight as an arrow Deep as the sea That’s how He lived So that’s how I’ll beVerse:
Following the one
Who’s leading us onward Right there by His side Wherever He goes Running to the aid
Of those who are wounded To lift them off the ground And carry them home
He has given everything So I will give Him all of meChorus:I want to be-
Firm as the mountain Stretched to the sky Strong as a fortress Sure as the night
I want to be-Straight as an arrow Deep as the sea That’s how He lived So that’s how I’ll be
Jayton is very serious and strict with himself, but with others he's more relaxed, fun and smiley!
He's all heart and very passionate!
Coach Hall (Offensive Coordinator) told a story about Jayton at the football banquet last week (12.17.15)
He said at the beginning of the season during a practice he saw that Jayton was visibly upset after a passing play...he asked him what was wrong. Jayton told him he should have had 'that catch' and told him he'd do better. He said Jayton continued to be that way at practices and during games!
I loved hearing this story, because it's SO him! When he commits himself-he wants to be/do his personal best. For example, today is his 16th birthday...and because he has goals for basketball, he gets up at 5 am (even on Christmas break and his birthday) to do his work out drills and go to basketball practice later too.

Many of you know that I almost delivered him before making it to the hospital.
We got there close to 1 a.m. on the 22nd and after I finally made it up to my room, changed, and waited on our awesome Dr. (Huff) to break my water, I was then allowed to push......and seriously moments later he was born! He was born at 1:16 a.m. on Dec. 22, 1999. He was 8 lbs, 6 oz and 21 inches long. I remember saying, "Look at those hands," cuz they were huge, Justin corrected me and said, "Look at those paddles!" He loved to eat and still does today!
